In January 2014, my article titled “Enforcing MHA/HAMP Loss Mitigation Guidelines through Illinois Mortgage Foreclosure Law” was published in the Journal of the DuPage County Bar Association.

I was also published in the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) Newsletter for Real Property in May 2016 and in the ISBA Newsletter for Commercial Banking, Collections, and Bankruptcy Law in May 2016 with my article titled:

Will the Real Party Plaintiff Please Stand Up? Toward a sane foreclosure process: Substitution of party plaintiff, the transfer of interest, and implications on standing

It is a look at the scenarios in which defendant borrowers are prejudiced by the statute governing substitution of parties and some proposed changes to promote fairness in the foreclosure process.
